Wisconsin's mayors and city managers say they're tired of being dumped on by
the state. The Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Alliance of
Cities--meeting in Racine--is mapping a strategy designed to secure better
treatment from the next legislature and governor. Racine Mayor Dickert is
the current Alliance president. We'll have the story Friday morning.
News Update:
A tragedy was averted in Kenosha overnight when a candle ignited a dresser
in an apartment that lacked both electricity and a smoke detector. A crying
child alerted the family of six, and they got out safely before flames shot
sky high. The duplex is located at 6628 23rd Ave. Click
