(WGTD)---Arson is suspected in a fire Tuesday night that heavily damaged what’s left of Dairyland Greyhound Park.
The dog track near the Kenosha Regional Airport is in the process of being demolished to make way for industrial buildings. Fires apparently were set in two areas of the massive building. Part of the structure collapsed.
Kenosha Fire Department Battalion Chief Matt Haerter said arson is likely in part because of the fires’ two locations and because demolition crews hadn’t been torching anything recently.
With structural engineers on hand, Haerter said crews did their best to search the ruins for any potential victims.
There were no injuries in battling the blaze.
