(WGTD)---As plans start coming together, Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian is talking more openly about his administration’s proposed 25-acre downtown redevelopment project.
In Saturday's Community Matters program on WGTD, Antaramian laid out the rationale for putting a park on what ordinarily would be considered prime land for redevelopment. He also discloses some of the current thinking of the design and operational elements of a proposed performing arts center. And he talks about not wanting to dump too much luxury housing on the market all at once.
As exciting as the downtown redevelopment plan is, Antaramian says he believes the proposed Innovation Center for the former Chrsyler Engine Plant site will be more influential in shaping the city's future.
