(WGTD)----A new advanced manufacturing academy that draws from training already in place at Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation and Gateway Technical College is expected to launch Aug. 31st.
According to a news release, the nearly full-time, 12-week-long program will be taught at the college's SC Johnson iMET Center in Sturtevant. It's expected that the academy will eventually be used as a model by other colleges throughout the nation.
The release says that part of the training is typically reserved for professionals already in the field.
Online informational and sign-up sessions will be held Aug. 3rd from 2 to 3:30 and Aug. 13th from 10 to 11:30. Advance registration is required by going to gtc.edu/aam.
According to the release, graduates of the program can expect to earn around $49,000 a year.
