(WGTD)---Extra hands had to be called in early Saturday morning to quell a disturbance at a new bar in Kenosha's uptown neighborhood.
Police were originally summoned just after midnight to the White Horse Saloon, formerly Finney's Lounge, on a complaint of loud music.
The first squads to arrive reported that three separate fights were occurring amid a crowd of between 150 and 200.
Addition to Kenosha police, three squads from Pleasant Prairie, two from the City of Racine and a trooper were sent in.
Police said one person was arrested and cited for disorderly conduct. Another person suffered minor injuries.
The bar was granted the necessary licenses and permits to operate just earlier this year.
According to statements made at a January meeting of the city's License and Permit Committee, the owners planned to operate the place as a sports bar, with alcohol served in a basement area in addition to the main floor.
At that meeting, committee member Pat Juliana cast the only 'no' vote after having expressed concerns over past complaints dealing with noise.
The full City Council voted to approve the license on a voice vote with no objections at its Jan. 23rd meeting.
A drive-by of the bar Saturday night called into question its status. The place appeared to be closed, and a Finney's bar sign still hung over the door. In addition, the bar's windows were covered up.
WGTD left a message with the bar's registered agent Sunday morning seeking comment.
