New Downtown Art Project: Keyed Up Kenosha

Kenosha’s downtown outside art project this year is called Keyed Up Kenosha. 12 artistically decorated pianos---with various themes---will be sited around the downtown area for about three months. The 12 completed Keyed Up pianos will be unveiled during Downtown Kenosha’s Second Saturday event---tomorrow.  The pianos will be placed at their respective locations---and---local musicians will be tickling the ivories from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Those pianos will remain in place---outside local businesses---throughout the summer and everyone is welcome to play the pianos at any time.

By the way---a 13th piano is on display at the I-94 Visitor Information Center. Some time in mid-August---the pianos will be auctioned off to benefit future Downtown events and promotions. Full details available at downtownkenosha.org. Keyed Up Kenosha is a collaborative project of Downtown Kenosha, Inc., the City of Kenosha and Kenosha News with major support from Uline.
