Democratic State Representative---and---former 1st District Congressman---Peter Barca has decided NOT to run for the seat being vacated by the retiring Paul Ryan. Instead---he will seek re-election to the State Assembly. With Barca staying out of the race, two Democrats are now vying for the nomination: Randy Bryce and Cathy Myers. On the GOP side---5 people are running for the nomination: Paul Nehlen, Nick Polce, Kevin Steen, Bryan Steil and Brian Tym.
