Pleasant Prairie Police Seek Man Said to be Possibly Armed and Dangerous

Update: As of 1p 2/26/17 the search continues.

An intense manhunt took place in Pleasant Prairie Wednesday evening for a subject deemed by police to be possibly armed and dangerous.

20 year-old Edward Vincent Becs is believed to be in possession of a gun and narcotics. Police said he left his grandparents' home in the area of 116th St. and 28th Ave. on foot after a confrontation over stolen credit cards and unauthorized purchases.

The grandparents told police that their grandson was unstable and was acting irrationally.

Police say they're concerned that Becs may try to harm himself or others. He's already on probation for drug and weapons-related convictions, and has other charges pending.

Over a dozen squads---some from the State Patrol and the Kenosha County Sheriff's Dept.---set up a perimeter Wednesday evening and reverse 911 calls were sent out.

It's believed that Becs slipped out of the area after getting a ride from a friend.

For a time Wednesday evening, Mt. Pleasant Police were on alert. But a spokesman for the department said late Wednesday that investigators believe that Becs is no longer in their jurisdiction.
