Thousands Rally to Save Mueller Investigation

Protesters nationwide—including some in Kenosha and Racine—called Thursday for the protection of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into potential coordination between Russia and President Trump’s campaign.

After accepting Attorney General Jeff Session’s forced resignation the day after the mid-term elections, Trump named Session’s Chief of Staff, Matthew Whitaker, as his temporary replacement. Whitaker has criticized Mueller’s probe.

In Kenosha, close to 75 demonstrators gathered at Civic Center Park. Organizer Jonathan Shailor said he thinks the marches—held across the nation—can make a difference. "I think people do stand up and notice when people march," Shailor said. "This is putting pressure on Congress specifically because Congress can move in their capacity to see that justice is done," he said.

The demonstrations were organized by moveon.org
