Kenosha---Gov. Evers says he's seeing greater clarity and consistency in recent communications from Foxconn. Evers answered reporters' questions following an event in Kenosha Wednesday evening. The company raised eyebrows when a top official earlier this year cast doubt on whether Foxconn would ever build a manufacturing facility in Mt. Pleasant. Just recently, Foxconn announced that it had signed $34 million in contracts for site preparation work for the factory. "The people in this part of the state have made some significant investments in that company," Evers said. "They deserve to have that consistency and clarity," he said.

Racine--Police allege that an employee of Ace Stamping borrowed a company truck to remove 3,000 pounds of stainless steel from the firm and then sold it to a salvage yard for over $5,500. 42 year-old Brian Christopher was charged with theft Thursday in Racine Court and ordered held on $5,000 bond. According to the criminal complaint, an employee of the salvage yard blew the whistle and called the owner of Ace Stamping, the company whose name was on the side of the truck that Christopher allegedly drove. Christopher has a lengthy criminal record.

Earth Day celebrations will be held Saturday on Gateway Techncial College campuses in Kenosha and Elkhorn. Various activities and events will be offered from ten until two. The events will be preceded by a pair of clean-ups. In Kenosha, anyone who wants to volunteer to clean up the Pike Creek near campus should meet at 8:45 at the Pike Creek Horticulture Center. In Elkhorn, the focus will be picking up trash along the White River trail near campus. Volunteers for that activity are asked to park in the southeast lot on campus and walk to the nearby trail.
