Kerry Spitzer is a prolific composer, songwriter, arranger, producer, audio
engineer, and journeyman multi-instrumentalist specializing in electric and
acoustic guitars, mandolin, keyboards, banjo, and many other out-of-the-way
stringed instruments. He is known for playing bottleneck (slide guitar),
fingerstyle guitar and banjo. He is an expert at playing rock, blues,
Celtic, Gypsy jazz, folk and bluegrass. His 60-year career includes many
recording sessions as a sideman and five self-produced solo albums playing
almost every instrument. He lost his voice to cancer in 2015, but is able
to speak with the aid of a device placed in his throat. He can no longer
sing, but plays his compositions instrumentally.
