(WGTD0---A 46-year-old Kenosha man is going to prison for his fifth drunk-driving offense.
Nathan Jones was arrested one night last December after he crashed into a tree line in the city. He wasn’t seriously hurt—nor was anyone else.
On Monday, Judge Heather Iverson sentenced Jones to two and a half years in prison. He was given credit for time served of nine months while awaiting the resolution of his case. Jones eventually pleaded guilty to the charge as well as a misdemeanor count of resisting.
Jones’ attorney told the judge that his client only recently came to grips with the fact that he’s an alcoholic.
Jones vowed to turn his life around.
The prosecutor said Jones was lucky that he didn’t kill anyone.
