Apartments, Single-Family Homes, Up For Consideration at Kenosha Plan

Nov. 5, 2025 11:15a

(WGTD)---Several housing proposals are to go before the Kenosha Plan Commission Thursday.

Commissioners are expected to give final approval to a six-building, 144-unit complex that’s to go up on the city’s northwest side. The site is located north of 50th St. and west of 47th Ave. The Bear Development proposal is described as "rent and income restricted."

Commissioners are expected to take another look at a 48-unit, four-story building that’s proposed for a site east of the Kenosha Transit Building off of 39th Ave. The apartments are to be designated for seniors. Two other smaller buildings are to have no age restrictions.

Also on the agenda is a zoning change request that could lead to the construction of a pair of single family homes on vacant land on the corner of Sheridan Rd. and 48th St. The site was once home to a nightclub that was torn down.
