A 40-year-old Kenosha woman has been charged with injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and hit and run in a collision that seriously injured a motorcyclist. Bond for Natalie Freeman was set Thursday at $100,000. According to the criminal complaint, Freeman moved into the intersection of 22nd Ave. and 85th St. after the light had changed, striking a motorcycle that witnesses said had the right-of-way. Family members identified the victim as Vincent Metz, who’s recovering from serious injuries. The complaint says Freeman left the scene. Witnesses enabled police to track her down. An open can of an alcoholic beverage was found in her car. According to online court records, Freeman has a prior conviction for drunk driving.

A 29-year-old Racine man is accused of firing shots at an Uber driver after getting into an argument. According to the criminal complaint, the incident began when Christian Cooley ordered an Uber for his family to go home. Half-way there, a disagreement developed over an unknown issue, and Cooley and his family reportedly got out of the vehicle and started walking. The Uber driver also got out, and according to Cooley, made a threat of some sort. That’s when Cooley allegedly pulled out a gun and started firing. The Uber driver got back into his car, drove off and flagged down an officer. Investigators noted multiple gunshot holes in the vehicle, and Cooley was arrested. A $5,000 cash bond was ordered.
