(WGTD)---Kenosha Unified is carrying out its promise to celebrate the legacies of buildings that are being closed at the end of the school year under the district’s downsizing plan.

The first commemoration will be held at Lincoln Middle School Thursday, April 18th from 5:30 to 6:30.

All current and past students, staff and families, as well as interested community members with no connections to the school, are invited.

The next event will be held at Washington Middle School on April 30th. That school’s enrollment is being moved to the Edward Bain School of Language and Art.

Most of the events are being held open-house style, allowing individuals to move freely throughout.

Another event will be held at Dimensions of Learning, which is being merged with the Brompton School.

Other celebrations will be held at Vernon, EBSOLA, McKinley, Stocker and Jefferson.
