(WGTD)---The plan commissions in Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie are expected to review a flurry of potential new developments this week.

Topping the list for many might be a Cooper's Hawk Winery and Restaurant that's expected to be built on a vacant parcel on Highway 50 just west of the Buona fast food restaurant. The national chain has 70 locations in 12 states, including a pair of restaurants in suburban Milwaukee and one in Gurnee.

Froedtert South off of Highway 50 in Pleasant Prairie is proposing a 50,000 sq. ft. addition, it's the 5th expansion since the regional medical center campus opened in 2002. The first floor of the new addition will be used for the training of Emergency Medical Services personnel. No uses have been designated for the upper three floors. According to village documents, the campus currently employees nearly 700 full-time and has over 400 part-time employees.

A 97-room, Marriott Towne Place extended-stay hotel is earmarked for a a site across the street from the Hampton Inn in the northwest quadrant of I-94 and Highway 50.

The people that run Kenosha Public Market have submitted detailed plans for the redevelopment of the Alford Building in downtown Kenosha on 58th St. at 7th Ave. The $7 million project includes a grocery store, food court, commercial kitchen and offices. The Market currently holds an option to purchase from the city.

The Pizza Ranch buffet-style restaurant chain plans to build on a site off of Green Bay Rd. and 52nd St.

And the Kenosha Plan Commission--when it meets Thursday--will take a look at revised plans for a 312-unit apartment complex that's slated for a site off of 60th St. just west of Green Bay Rd. Commissioners had identified several deficiencies with the original plans that were reviewed.
