(WGTD)---A 64-year-old Racine man was given a 15-year prison term in a child pornography case this week.
The sentence handed down to Leroy Kolacinski comes after references were made to a 2010 incident in which he was caught secretly photographing children in a dressing room during a local theater performance. According to a news release from the Racine County Sheriff's Office, Kolacinski served just a few days in jail after invasion of privacy charges were reduced to a single count of disorderly conduct.
The sheriff's office notes that over the course of his life, Kolacinski held several roles involving contact with children, including positions as a teacher, music instructor and an accountant with the YMCA.
At the sentencing hearing, Judge Jessica Lynott also ordered Kolacinski to pay $5,000 in restitution to a now-grown child who was pictured in at least one of the videos Kolacinski had in his possession. The victim's story and the search for her abusive father were highlighted several years ago in an episode of 'America's Most Wanted'. Grounds for restitution payments were previously established in a civil lawsuit.
