Don't be an "Askhole"

Sept. 9, 2026 2:45p

(WGTD)---A marketing executive who was on the ground floor of the development of digital-era marketing techniques now says that in some cases a more personalized approach is needed to avoid being labeled an "askhole."

Chris Tuff is a best-selling author who will be one of the speakers at this year’s INSPIRE. The day-long personal and professional development event at Journey Church in Kenosha Oct. 16th is organized by the Kenosha Area Business Alliance.

On the WGTD Morning Show, Chris Tuff told Greg Berg that sales executives should first work on developing genuine connections before making their sales pitches. He asserts that younger sales people in particular are too reliant on technology and artificial intelligence. "There's no courtship in salesmanship anymore," he lamented. "For anyone that's really 38 or older we were all brought up that you go to that lunch--you go to that dinner. You be patient...wait until the ask doesn't feel like an ask."

Tuff is the author of two books: “The Millennial Whisperer” and “Save Your Asks.”

INSPIRE is coming up Oct. 16th. For the full lineup of speakers and for registration information, go here
