An International Probe Leads to Charges of Incest and Sexual Assault in Racine

(WGTD)---An investigation that began in the Netherlands landed in Racine last week with the arrest of a 30-year-old man on charges of repeated sexual assault of a child and incest.

According to the criminal complaint, Dutch investigators came across a messaging application in which a user asked whether "any pedo dads wanna share stories and content that we do with our daughters." A confidential informant responded, and received a video of the man and his small child. The man explained that he tells her that the sexual assaults are a "game" that he hides from her mother.

The complaint says investigators were able to trace the user to a Racine address, and the man was arrested while driving. A search of his phone found at least one of the videos that he had allegedly exchanged.

Bond for the man was set Friday at $250,000.

Federal charges could be forthcoming, according to the complaint, because of the international dissemination of the videos.

In addition, it appears the investigation may not be over. A transcription of a chat between the Racine man and another user refers to a 9-year-old victim.

The Racine man's wife apparently was caught off guard by her husband's alleged actions. The complaint quotes a recorded jail house phone call that ends with the man confessing and the woman crying.
