(WGTD)---A Kenosha Catholic church is planning on undertaking an ambitious construction project.
St. Mary's--located near the intersection of 39th Ave. and Roosevelt Rd.--plans to raze its Parish Center and two small garages on its campus, and replace them with a 4,500 sq. ft. addition.
According to City Plan Commission documents, the addition would connect the two main buildings on the site---the school and the church itself. The new structure would include additional office space and what's described as a "gathering hall."
The plan is expected to be reviewed at the Plan Commission's next meeting scheduled for this Thursday.
