Homicide Investigation – Suspect in Custody
On April 25, 2026, at approximately 3:30 p.m., the Kenosha Police Department responded to a report of an altercation between two adult males in the 5700 block of 13th Avenue. A caller advised 911 dispatch that one individual appeared to be seriously injured and was lying on the ground.
Upon arrival, officers located a 42-year-old Kenosha resident, identified as Dale Dallia, attempting to leave the area. He was detained without incident. Officers also located a 41-year-old male Kenosha resident suffering from serious injuries. Officers immediately rendered first aid until Kenosha Fire Department personnel arrived and continued medical care.
During the investigation, officers developed information regarding a possible second victim inside the residence. Officers entered the residence to check the welfare of any additional individuals and located 37-year-old Stephanie Birn, a Kenosha resident, deceased.
Kenosha Police Department detectives and patrol officers continue to process evidence, interview witnesses, canvass the area, and consult with the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office.
Dale Dallia is currently being held on a probation hold while detectives consult with the Kenosha County District Attorney’s Office regarding potential charges.
