Kenosha United Way: Seeking Employers and Community Resources

May 11, 2024 2:10p

(WGTD)---A unique event to be held next month in Kenosha will tie opportunities for employment with offers of help from social service agencies and other institutions.

The event—called the "2024 Success Fair"—will be held at the Job Center on Sheridan Road Friday, June 7th.

It’s co-sponsored by United Way of Kenosha County. Agency director Carolynn Friesch says the event addresses United Way’s overarching goal of fostering financial stability for residents. "It's extremely important for us to help folks in our community that are in need," Friesch said. "Whether it be a job or those resources."

So far some 30 entities that offer either employment or resources have signed up. Friesch is looking for others to join in. The deadline for buying a booth is Friday, May 24th.

The fair is also sponsored by the Southeastern Wisconsin Workforce Development Board.
