From Kenosha Police:

Kenosha, WI — On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at approximately 7:55 p.m., officers with the Kenosha Police Department responded to the 600 block of 60th Street for a report of multiple individuals who had been shot.

Upon arrival, officers located three injured individuals. A 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old male had sustained gunshot wounds. A third individual, a 15-year-old male, had sustained a head injury. Officers immediately initiated life-saving measures; however, the 16-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other two individuals were transported to area hospitals for medical treatment.

During the initial response and subsequent investigation, officers developed information indicating that multiple suspects may have fled into a nearby residence. Officers responded to that location and took two individuals into custody: a 16-year-old male and a 19-year-old male. Both individuals are currently being held in secure detention facilities pending further investigation and potential charges.

The Kenosha Police Department, in coordination with the Kenosha Unified School District, confirmed that the juveniles involved in this incident attend local high schools. KPD is working with K.U.S.D. to ensure grief counseling resources are available for students and staff as needed.

At this time, investigators believe this was an isolated incident, and there is no known ongoing threat to the community or to area schools.

We encourage residents in the surrounding area to review any surveillance footage in their possession and to contact 262-605-5203 with any relevant information or evidence.

This remains an active and ongoing homicide investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
