(WGTD)---The mother of an Indian Trail High School student who was struck in the face several times by another student has gone to social media to slam the school district for its handling of events surrounding the case. Andrea Powers’ post on Facebook has been shared 1,400 times. She says school officials weren’t firm enough in addressing the bullying that went on before the attack and then dealing with the  aftermath in which the offender was suspended but not expelled. According to the post, the ninth grader was punched so hard that she fell to the floor and suffered a concussion. Juvenile Intake says the district attorney’s office is deciding what charges should be filed against the 14-year-old. A spokeswoman for Kenosha Unified says the district is aware of the case and is investigating. The victim now attends Central High School in Paddock Lake.
