(WGTD)---$1,000 checks are in the mail to both the Shalom Center in Kenosha and the Sharing Center in Trevor as a result of the "1st Annual WGTD Full Plate Thanksgiving Benefit" held Saturday evening at the Union Park Tavern in Kenosha.
The revenue that was raised was collected in a donation box at the front door. Tavern co-owners Ben DeSmidt and Angela Cook graciously agreed to donate the tavern's bar till from the five-hour-long performance by The Deadliners, Old Brown Shoes and Brent Mitchell.
WGTD would like to thank the musicians, Ben and Angie, the servers and all of the folks who turned out Saturday evening to make the night a success.
