David Stashower,is the author of "American Demon: Eliot Ness and the Hunt for America's Jack the Ripper." The subject of the book is a terrifying crime spree that occurred in Cleveland, OH back in the 1930's when nearly a dozen different people were murdered (in gruesome fashion) by a serial killer - at a time when that term had not yet been coined. Eliot Ness, fresh off of his headline-generating pursuit of Al Capone in Chicago, was eventually entrusted with identifying and apprehending this unknown serial killer.
