Phyllis Karas discusses her book "Curse of the Blumenthals." The book concerns two painful moments in her family's history that the family has referred to as "The Tragedy" and "The Incident." The former was a car accident in the mid 1930s involving a drunk driver in which six family members were killed. The latter was a grisly murder committed in the early 1950s. The book is not only an exploration of this two painful moments in the Blumenthal family's history, but also the story of karas's own obsession with uncovering as much information about these two matters as she possibly could.
