Dr. James Ripley, director of instrumental activities at Carthage, previews Wednesday night's concert by the Wind Orchestra and Gaudete Brass Ensemble that will seek to re-create (to a remarkable degree) the very first band concerts played at Carthage 150 years ago ..... in the repertoire played and even in the actual instruments that will be used for some of the performance.
