We devote today's program to bird-watching. We begin with Dexter Patterson, author of "Birds of the Great Lakes: How they look and sound ... Where to find them .... How to protect them." Patterson is co-founder of Wisconsin's BIPOC Birding Club. He will be coming to Kenosha's Blue House Books on Monday evening, October 20th, at 6:30. After that is an excerpt from a 2005 interview with Dan Koeppel, author of "To See Every Bird on Earth: a Father, a Son and a Lifelong Obsession." Koeppel's late father was a competitive bird watcher who saw more than 7,000 species of birds all over the world; at the time, he was one of only ten bird watchers to officially achieve that distinction.
