We speak with writer Bill Hulseman about his collection of personal essays titled "Six to Carry the Casket and One to Say the Mass: Reflections on Life, Identity, and Moving Forward." Hulseman grew up in Winnetka, Illinois as the youngest of ten children in a Roman Catholic family. His book touches on what he has experienced as a gay male who loved the Catholic church and actually worked for a time as a Catholic educator. He writes about where life has taken him since then - and also about the importance of television programs like "Designing Women," "The Golden Girls" and "Ellen" or musicians like Madonna or The Indigo Girls in solidifying his sense of personal identity and purpose in the world.
