MS - Writer Joel Dinerstein

We speak with Joel Dinerstein, whose parents were among the last European Jews to enter the United States through Ellis Island in 1924.   He recounts his experiences of growing up in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Flatbush - and the dramatic changes and upheaval he witnessed in his neighborhood over the years - in his new book "The Last Jews of Ellis Island: A Brooklyn Memoir."
