(WGTD)---A second shooting incident occurred in as many nights in Kenosha's Uptown area Tuesday night.
This time, a 49-year-old man was shot in the chest while apparently in or near a vehicle in the 6100 blk. of 24th Ave. According to a news release from the police department, the man is expected to survive the attack.
Officers found the victim in a nearby house.
On Monday night, five people were shot--one fatally--at a house a couple of blocks away.
Police identified the deceased subject as 20-year-old Anderail Armstrong, who also goes by the nickname of "Lil Cash." A gofundme account has been created.
The most seriously injured are now in stable condition.
The release said investigators weren't immediately sure whether the two incidents are connected.
They're asking for the public's help in solving the crimes, saying witnesses need to "step up" because no matter what the dispute violence is not the answer and can't be tolerated.
The number for the detective bureau is 262-605-5203. Tips can be phoned in anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 262-605-7333.
The shootings are in an area of town that the police department has been watching as close as possible.
