(WGTD)---Charges have been filed in connection with two separate homicides in Racine. One occurred last July across the street from the home of Racine Alder Renee Kelly in the 2700 blk. of Wright Ave.
In that case, 41 year year-old Deangelo Herron of Kenosha and 38 year-old Lamar Payne of Chicago were charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide in the execution-styled killing of 39 year-old Deonte Stokes. Both defendants were recently arrested out-of-state.
In the other homicide, 16 year-old Cieriyous Curtis is facing the same charge in the death of 17 year-old Samrion Campbell. That shooting occurred last month following an altercation in Lockwood Park.
Curtis was also shot but has since recovered.
In addition to the homicide count, Curtis was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under the age of 18.
