Alligator Turns Up on Kenosha's North Side

July 12, 2022 3:40p

(WGTD)---A pet alligator is back home after a parent found kids playing with it in a Kenosha street Tuesday morning.

The young boys--appearing to be in the 6 to 7 age range--found the two-foot-long gator in the area of 22nd Ave. and 24th St.

Police were called. An officer and two citizens wrangled the reptile and taped its mouth shut in preparation for a trip to a nearby animal sanctuary. But before that could happen, a resident called police to report a missing pet alligator.

Before long, the alligator and his owner were happily reunited. And the kids were left with a hard-to-top story to tell their friends.
