(WGTD)---Three people are in custody in connection with the shooting death of a boy at a south side Kenosha apartment complex early Friday.
One of the suspects, believed to be a 25-year-old man, is expected to be charged with the homicide itself while another adult is facing a charge of aiding a felon, according to a Kenosha Police Dept. news release. Both were arrested in Rockford.
The third suspect, 19-year-old TyShawn Ridgeway, was taken into custody in Lake County following a pursuit that began as he was spotted leaving the Briarcliff Apartments, the scene of the shooting.
The 25-year-old man who is in custody in Rockford has the same last name as the suspect who fled.
The victim has been identified 17-year-old Dayshawn Davis.
Meanwhile, Racine Police are investigating a homicide that took place early Saturday morning at the Marathon Gas Station at 3024 Rapids Dr.
Police said a 20-year-old man died at the hospital of multiple gunshot wounds.
No one is in custody.
