Booker Death Investigation: Charge Filed Against Women Who Drove Suspect to Chicago

(WGTD)---New details have emerged in the death of a 30-year-old Racine woman.

According to a criminal complaint, police found the body of Brittany Booker in her vehicle Sunday morning. She had suffered multiple injuries, including a gunshot wound to the head.

The information is contained in a complaint filed against a woman who admits to driving the suspect, 42-year-old Terry Jackson, to Chicago on Sunday. While the woman, Diamond Hood, may not have known about the murder, police contend that Hood was well aware that Jackson was wanted on previous charges. Now she's facing a charge of harboring or aiding a felon.

According to the complaint, Jackson used Hood's red Jeep Grand Cherokee to drive to Booker's home early Sunday. Booker's oldest child said he saw his mother on doorbell video  leave with a man he didn't recognize at about 5:30 a.m. Then he couldn't reach her.

Hood told investigators that she had let Jackson use her vehicle after the pair rekindled a sexual relationship.

The earlier charges that were filed against Jackson related to a hammer attack on Booker and Jackson's estranged girlfriend whom she was trying to help.

Jackson remains on the run. There's a $2,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
