(WGTD)---An incident at a Racine soccer match Thursday evening that began with a disruptive spectator who'd been drinking led to a full-scale brawl involving several dozen people.
The game--between St. Catherine's and Milwaukee Pius--was being played at Pritchard Park.
According to a criminal complaint, 33 year-old Antonio Tanner Galvan Jr. had been drinking tequila and created such a disturbance that the referee had to stop the game three times.
A fight broke out following the game. While others may eventually be charged, according to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, Galvan was arrested, "given his continual attempts to reengage both verbally and physically," the complaint said.
While Galvan was being handcuffed, 34 year-old April Gomez--same address as Galvan--tried to interfere in the process.
Both were formally charged in court Friday with disorderly conduct and obstructing. Both were released on signature bonds.
Officers from the sheriff's office and the Racine and Mt. Pleasant police departments were called to the scene.
