Buyer Found for the Former Kroger Fulfillment Center

May 16, 2026 9:40a

(WGTD)---This didn't take long--a new occupant has been found for the Kroger fulfillment center in Pleasant Prairie.

The highly-automated grocery delivery operation closed earlier this year, eliminating over 200 jobs. Kroger branding is still on the building off of Highway 'H'.

According to Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission documents, a new logistics company is reading to move in.

Flexport, doing business as Deliverr Inc., describes itself as a "global logistics and supply chain company providing freight forwarding, warehousing and e-commerce fulfillment and distribution services."

The commission is scheduled to consider site and operational plans Monday night.

According to the documents, the company is expected to employ 300 full-time workers over two shifts seven days a week.

While no modifications are expected to be made to the building's exterior, the new company is expected to make interior changes such as removing a refrigeration system and a meat-packing room.
