(WGTD)---Pleasant Prairie Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding a driver who wound up in a LakeView Corporate Park retention pond.
Firefighters were called to a pond located just north of the former Jelly Belly retail store Sunday night around 10. They found a slowly sinking car. The driver--a 19 year-old woman from Rio, Wisconsin--was able to get out on her own and swim to shore. Police said she wasn't hurt.
Police don't believe that either alcohol or drugs were factors in the incident. No citations have been issued, although the matter remains under investigation.
The car was dragged out of the basin by a tow truck after divers attached a strap to the vehicle.
