From WGTD News:

A strike has been averted at the CNH tractor plant in Mt. Pleasant. The UAW announced Monday that a tentative agreement has been reached on a new five-year contract that includes a 22% wage increase for production employees and a 29% increase for skilled trades workers. In addition, the deal includes improvements in health and safety protections, retirement benefits and language that helps to secure the future of the plant. The tentative agreement will now be voted on by the 300 UAW members who are covered by it.

A 42 year-old Kenosha man who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend last month then ambushed her current boyfriend as he responded to a text asking him to come over appeared in court Monday to face charges. Bond for Dale Dallia was set at $2 million. According to the criminal complaint, Dallia stabbed 37 year-old Stephanie Birn 16 times and also beat her. When Birn's new boyfriend arrived, Dallia allegedly struck him with a frying pan, tried to strangle him and jumped off the porch onto his head. The 42 year-old man spent two days in the hospital. The complaint provides a timeline on the weekend of the murder. It quotes an acquaintance as saying she dropped off Dallia who may have been intoxicated at Birn's house. Before leaving, the woman purportedly saw Dallia pounding on the door and yelling before trying to force his way in.
