A 42 year-old Kenosha man who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend at her home last month then ambushed her current boyfriend as he responded to a text asking him to come over appeared in court Monday to face charges. Bond for Dale Dallia was set at $2 million. According to the complaint, Dallia stabbed 37 year-old Stephanie Birn 16 times and also beat her. When Birn's new boyfriend arrived, Dallia allegedly struck him with a frying pan, tried to strangle him and jumped on his head from the porch. The 42 year-old man spent two days in the hospital. The complaint provides a timeline. It quotes an acquaintance of Dallia as saying she dropped him off at Birn's house on 13th Ave. at about 2:15 in the afternoon. He appeared to be intoxicated. Before leaving, the woman purportedly saw Dallia pounding on the door and yelling to be let in. The current boyfriend says he received a text from Birn’s phone about an hour later at 3:15. He arrived around 3:40 to face Dallia, brandishing the frying pan. Police were summoned on a report of an altercation between two men at 3:52. Minutes later, officers searched the home and came across Birn’s body which was cold to the touch.
