(WGTD)---An entry from Whittier Elementary in Kenosha has been named as one of ten finalists in a contest that could lead to a visit by the Harlem Globetrotters.

The elementary school creativity contest is sponsored by Jersey Mike's Subs and the internationally-known basketball team.

Combining their love for basketball and the Globetrotters, sisters Kendall and Piper Rooker, in putting together a project for Black History Month, researched the team's 98-year history, displayed their findings on Globetrotter-themed basketballs and submitted a contest entry. In a cute video, the sisters also showcased their own basketball skills.

In making the cut to the finalist category, Whittier will receive a $1,000 award from Jersey Mike's.

The eventual grand prize winner will get a chance to host the Globetrotters.

Kendall is a 5th grader at Whittier while Piper is a kindergartner.
