From WGTD News:

The 39-year-old Racine man who's been accused of shooting a woman to death in her apartment last month has been identified as a former roommate. Montreal Greer was tied to the crime after authorities compared bullet casings in the residence to a gun that was taken from Greer in an unrelated case earlier this month. The complaint suggests that robbery was the motive in that Greer might've known that the victim, Rebecca Rannow, was trying to raise bail money for someone who was identified as currently living in Rannow's apartment. The complaint also alleges that Greer stole a Playstation from the individual and sold it at a store. Bond for Greer was set Friday at $1 million.

A 17-year-old Racine boy was charged Friday with attempted murder and attempted robbery in a shootout that left the teen and two others injured. According to a criminal complaint, Lacrelle Clay was among a group of three who tried to rob another group in the 1200 blk of Racine St. on Labor Day. Clay was shot in the chest and leg. At the time of the shooting, Clay had $7,000 in his possession, according to the complaint. The other two who were shot apparently were in the group that was being robbed.
