From WGTD News:
Possible suspects have been identified in the shooting death Wednesday of an 18 year-old Kenosha man. According to a news release, the man drove three blocks on Racine St. from Mt. Pleasant into the city after being shot in the abdomen. The teen crashed into a parked vehicle. He died at the scene. Because the shooting happened in the village, the case has been transferred from city police to the village's police department. The release from Mt. Pleasant said 'persons of interest' are being questioned in what appears to have been a targeted shooting. Any witnesses or anyone who may have surveillance footage from the area is encouraged to contact Mt. Pleasant Police. The shooting happened Wednesday just before noon.

Kenosha's Historic Preservation Commission is scheduled to meet Thursday evening to get an update on attempts to save the former Eagles Club building in downtown Kenosha. The news isn't good. Commission Chair Jan Michalski tells WGTD that the owners of the building aren't cooperating with the efforts. The owners are interested in demolishing the structure to make way for a high-rise apartment building. The Eagles Club, last operated as Madrigrano Marina Shores, was heavily damaged by a burst frozen water pipe two years ago. The Commission set in motion a protocol designed to explore options for saving the historic structure. The owners were asked to participate but were not required to do so.
