A bail of a half-million dollars was set Thursday for a Kenosha man who is alleged to have sexually assaulted a child on a weekly basis for five years. 44 year-old Dale Nixon is facing charges of incest, repeated sexual assault of a child, child enticement and cause mental harm to a child. The alleged sexual assaults ended late last year after the girl began a relationship with a boyfriend, and the boyfriend's mother got involved. According to the criminal complaint, the defendant's wife said she was not aware of the alleged assaults.

A second person has died as the result of a head-on crash Wednesday on State Highway 31 near Five Mile Road in Caledonia. The latest to die was the 77 year-old Mt. Pleasant man who inexplicably crossed the center line and crashed into a SUV carrying three people. A passenger, an 83 year-old Caledonia woman, was the other fatality in the second vehicle. The driver--a 65 year-old woman from Caledonia--suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A three year-old child sustained minor injuries.

A 41 year-old Milwaukee man has been cited for disorderly conduct for tripping a nine year-old football player during a game last weekend at Hammes Field in Mt. Pleasant. The man--a parent of a player for the Milwaukee Colts--apparently allowed his emotions to get the best of him when he stuck out his foot out from the sidelines and tripped the Case Eagles player as he was running down the field. Another parent captured the incident on video. According to a news release, police stopped the man as he was driving back to Milwaukee. He purportedly admitted his mistake and received the ticket. The nine year-old wasn't hurt.
