Mar. 14, 2021 3:30p

(WGTD)---The trial of a Kenosha teen accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend and wounding her mother at the family's home nearly two years ago is expected to begin Monday. WGTD plans to offer gavel-to-gavel coverage on the station's YouTube channel.

Martice Fuller is charged with 1st Degree Intentional Homicide and Attempted 1st Degree Intentional Homicide along with Armed Burglary in the death of Kaylie Juga and the wounding of her mother, Stephanie. Authorities said the shooting was the culmination of a bad break-up between the defendant and Kaylie Juga. Both were 15 at the time.

Jury selection began Friday and is expected to continue Monday morning. Opening statements may begin as early as mid-day.

The trial is being held in a make-shift courtroom set up in the Kenosha County Center at highways 45 and 50. The trial was moved to the auditorium of the building because of COVID. The room is much larger than any of the courtrooms in the courthouse. Trial participants will be socially-distanced as much as possible. Gallery seating will be limited.

Updates will be posted on WGTD's Facebook page, with the trial itself webcast on WGTD's YouTube channel.

Links to each day's proceedings will be available at the end of each day.
