Goal-Setting Session Scheduled for New Kenosha County Board

May 1, 2022 noon

(WGTD)---An unusual, open-ended conversation is expected to take place Tuesday night during a meeting of a key committee of the Kenosha County Board.

The meeting of the board’s Executive Committee is expected to immediately follow a meeting of the full County Board, the first session of the body since its organizational meeting held two weeks ago. At that meeting, the shifting political winds in the county were apparent when the board elected two conservatives to serve as chair and vice-chair. The organizational meeting followed the April 5th election which had an unusually large number of races for open seats.

The eye-catching item on Tuesday's Executive Committee agenda is a discussion of goals and plans for the new, two-year term. It’ll be preceded by citizen comments and comments from supervisors.

Meetings of the Executive Committee are chaired by the chairman of the county board, in this case, Gabe Nudo.

The committee meeting will be held in the county board chambers, a much larger space than the normal committee meeting room venue.
