(WGTD)---After COVID interruptions last year, a full slate of parades, festivals and picnics is on for this Independence Day weekend.
The question is whether your event is Sunday, the 4th, or Monday, the 5th, which is a day off for many. Or maybe even Saturday.
Racine’s annual parade will be held Monday, kicking off at 9 a.m., with the fireworks display that evening.
In Kenosha, the fireworks spectacle at the lakefront will take place Sunday evening. A three-day carnival will be offered in the downtown area near 7th Ave. and 54th St. A couple of music stages will be set up along the harbor. The Kenosha Pops will perform a pre-fireworks concert in Pennoyer Park beginning Sunday at 4.
