Update: A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Little Rock, Arkansas and is being returned to Kenosha to face a charge of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide

(WGTD)---The 20-year-old Kenosha man who was shot and killed Saturday evening on the city’s north side had a history of engaging in domestic violence.

Police responded to the 900 blk. of 42nd St. and found a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.

The victim was identified Monday as Julian Flores.

Flores was convicted of battery last year for repeatedly punching his mother. Flores’ step-father had to step in and restrain Flores. Then last fall Flores was charged with physical abuse of an elder and disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw a bar of soap at his grandfather. At the time, the grandfather told police he didn’t necessarily want Flores to be arrested, but wanted his grandson to get help for what were described as mental health issues. The case against Flores was still open.

Saturday night’s shooting scene was near where Flores’ grandparents were listed as living last fall.

Police had no updates Monday other than to identify Flores as the victim in a social media post.

A man who identified himself as Flores’ step-brother echoed calls from police for anyone with information about the case to contact investigators.
