(WGTD)---Just after 10:30, the AP called the Republican gubernatorial primary race for Tim Michels.

In the Republican primary for Kenosha County Sheriff, party-backed candidate Dave Zoerner defeated his next closest challenger, Ray Rowe, by about 17 points. Gonzales and Cochran trailed. Rowe had been endorsed by outgoing Sheriff Dave Beth. Zoerner will meet Democrat James Simmons in the Nov. election.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos appears to have survived a stiff challenge from Trump-backed Adam Steen, winning his Racine County Assembly district by a little over two points.

Results of the public safety referendums in Kenosha and Racine split. Kenosha's question easily won while Racine's referendum lost by a wide margin.

For the Kenosha County Assembly seat vacated by Kenosha County Executive Samantha Kerkman, Amanda Nedweski defeated Mike Honold in the Republican primary.
