(WGTD)---As of Saturday, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kenosha County stood at 7, an increase of two from earlier in the day. The numbers of cases in both Racine and Walworth counties remained  unchanged at 4 and 3, respectively. 

State health officials on Saturday reported a total of 281 confirmed cases, with 4,628 tests coming back negative.

A total of four people have died from the disease in Wisconsin, the latest being a 69 year-old man with chronic health issues who had traveled from out-of-state to Wisconsin. The Milwaukee County Health Dept. reported that death.

Lake County added 16 new cases Saturday, bringing the total there to 65.

Kenosha Unified School Superintendent Sue Savaglio-Jarvis sent a lengthy email to parents Friday night, telling them there currently are more questions than answers. She said she expects guidance soon from the state. Seniors, she noted, are wondering about graduation and credits.

Some classroom teachers may soon electronically distribute non-graded lessons, in addition to activity suggestions that are already available online and at meal sites.

The Wisconsin National Guard said Saturday 300 of its members are on active duty and training for possible assignments related to the pandemic. The Guard distributed a video showing members being trained on testing and specimen collection procedures.
